Book Update: Revision Milestone

This week I achieved a big milestone in the book revision process: I finished incorporating beta and heavy pen reader feedback into chapters.

Receiving feedback is a humbling experience. We get to see the impact of our words, and how they might be interpreted and received. We get to make decisions about what resonates with us as the author, and what changes can enhance and improve our craft.

What I keep learning about creative endeavors is that while it is delightful to create for one’s own sense of self-expression, it is not until creation meets the other that magic really happens.

Once Let’s Connect as Humans! is published  and out into the world, I have no control over it anymore. And perhaps that is the lesson about mustering up the courage to do things that scare us: relinquishing control.
