Let’s Connect As Humans! is a book about building meaningful relationships with ourselves and one another in a divided and distracted world. The stories in the book invite us to reflect on the ways in which we may have become disconnected, and how we can find our way back to our humanity and the humanity of others.

How the Journey Began

  • After working as a full-time Leadership Facilitator for over a year, I noticed a lot of pain in the workplace: people’s wellbeing was suffering, as were their relationships and their sense of joy and purpose.

It was clear that we were more distracted and divided than I could remember in my nearly four decades on the planet. The advancements of technology brough convenience and efficiency to our lives. The intriguing part of it is that instead of making our lives easier or better, we actually feel more pressed for time than we did before.

After interviewing 40 people in 4 different countries (Brazil, Canada, Portugal, and the United States) I came to recognize some patterns on what was feeling particularly challenging, and some of the ways in which people were finding space for themselves, for their families and loved ones, for the things that bring them alive.

Let’s Connect as Humans! is an invitation for all of us to reflect and act on the parts of our lives that pushed us to operate as machines, and reconnect with our humanity and the humanity of others.
